Wii U at E3

I think it's safe to say that Nintendo dominated E3 this year with its unveiling of the Wii U, and, honestly, they deserve. I was thoroughly impressed with the console, especially its controller.

Badass.

It boasts:
  • a 6.2-inch LCD touch-screen
  • a camera
  • a microphone
  • an accelerometer
  • the ability to transfer your game on-screen to your controller
Nintendo seems to be attempting to enter the same league as Microsoft and Sony, in terms of graphics and online play. Hopefully, they'll finally be able to with the Wii U. I really disliked the Wii because of its lack of HD support and the Wiimote, so I'm really looking forward to the Wii U. It's expected to be released in late 2012.

  5. I am withholding judgement for the Wii U. It could be potentially great, but I'm afraid it'll stifle the 3DS and games that may come out for it.

    Still, good stuff, man.

  8. I don't understand why Nintendo are getting such a bad press for this. How is this any worse than the Kinect and PSMove that were announced last year? At least Nintendo are doing something new and innovative (as always).

  9. I never much liked the handheld gaming consoles. Although I have to say, this one looks quite different. Hopefully this will be a better experience then the others. I'm looking forward to it!
