A Wizard is Never Late...

After many years of criticizing Steam, I have decided to download it to give it a try. Just for reference, by the way, I never liked it because I've always been a fan of actual copies of games. Now that I'm a member, I would like to know a few things:

  • Recommendations, so I have an idea where to start.
  • What you think about Steam and digital copies of game, in general.
By the way, I'll be posting my top 5 favorite video games for a certain criteria soon. Don't forget to come back and check it out.

  1. I still can't get over the title. I say it all the time. A wizard is never late, nor early, he arrives precisely when he needs to!

I also love you, Neutral Milk Hotel for the win!

  2. I'm a big fan of Steam. It's never let me down, can download the games in about an hour.

  3. Try Super Meat Boy, really cool game on Steam if you haven't played it already.

I like digital copies if it's considerably cheaper, the preloads for unreleased games is also a pretty nifty feature.

  4. I love Steam. I don't have to worry about discs getting lost or scratched; I can always delete games and download them later if I run out of space. IT'S FREE!!!! And the social networking is really easy. 10++++!

  5. Can't say my experience with Steam has been all positive but I've gotten some great old games through it.

  7. I actually was the same as you. I never did like steam. Till I finally downloaded and tested out the software. It was great in way, no worrying about scratching up CDs and such. But the downside was that you had to log into the steam servers before you could access your games. Which I still to this day do not like.

  8. The great thing is it's a wide selection of games, and pretty damn good value (there's always sales on, even for big games).

There's also the benefit that more and more games are making it so you can integrate a physical copy with steam (add the product Key to steam and then download/install it).
